EXPERIENCE

Rick Tubbs is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve and has served our country in uniform for over 22 years.He has flown in the combat zones of Iraq and Afghanistan as well as managed multi-million dollar military budgets.He has owned a small business dealing with strangling government regulations that hinder job growth.Rick flies for a major airline and is a member of a pilot union, so he has experience on both sides of the labor-management relationship.Rick grew up on welfare and knows what it is like to live the American Dream rising from poverty to enjoying the blessings this land of opportunity provides to those who work hard and earn their way up the economic ladder.Rick’s experience is vast and has well prepared him to represent you in Washington DC.

SOLUTIONS

Our country’s government is broke and is failing future generations by piling up trillions in debt as evidence of its mismanagement.If we, Americans, continue to re-elect the very people that put us in this mess, we will steal from our children and grand children their ability to live the American Dream.Rick offers a common-sense approach to solving problems.No partisan politics, no hidden agendas just fix the problem the best way possible for the American people.Rick also believes that more government usually results in more problems.Trends towards insolvency in Social Security, Medicare, the Post Office and Amtrak are just a few examples.The first problem we need to solve is balancing the federal budget.It can be done.We need to grow revenue by growing jobs.Grow jobs by getting the government out of the way of job creators.Remove and revise regulations starting with Obamacare.Follow Newt Gingrich’s idea of replacing the EPA with the Environmental Solutions Agency that works with business to protect our environment and jobs.It can be done.We can cut spending by aggressively stopping the 70 – 120 billion dollars lost to Medicare fraud every year.(That is 25% of Medicare’s budget and will go a long way in making it solvent without a reduction in services to our seniors.)We can save $98 billion by upgrading our accounting practices to prevent overpayments.We can save $25 billion a year spent on the maintenance of vacant government properties by selling them.We can save billions per year in the military by ending the practice of “spend it or lose it” budgeting.We can save tens of billions more by eliminating duplicate and unnecessary programs. (1399 different programs for rural areas as one example)We can save over $500 billion per year just by running government more responsibly. That is your money your government is just wasting.We can elect hard working representatives that will enact the positive solutions to grow jobs and cut spending to get our country back on track to prosperity for all.It can be done!

LEADERSHIP

Rick Tubbs has led our military’s best and brightest accomplishing missions around the world in wartime and in peace.He currently serves as the squadron commander of a Reserve C-17 unit at Travis AFB, CA.Rick has had a career of leading the way to solving problems and accomplishing great things for our country.He understands the complexity of issues, knows how to explain the possible solutions and their consequences, find the best option and then take a stand to lead people to get things done.We have too many policy wonks and lawyers in Washington as it is. Instead of politicians kicking the can down the road because they are too afraid to make a decision, we need leaders that can work with people from all sides of the aisle to solve our problems.Rick spent his entire life doing just that - solving problems and getting the job done.He is trained, experienced and ready to get the job done in Washington as your congressman.
